Glen Huff is the founder and a co-managing shareholder of Huff, Poole & Mahoney, P.C. He has extensive experience in mass toxic torts, medical issues, aviation disasters, and product failures. Mr. Huff was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 1976 and the North Carolina Bar in 1998. He is also admitted to practice in US District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and North Carolina, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Mr. Huff has been elected repeatedly by his peers to be included in Virginia Business magazine's Legal Elite in 2 categories, and Richmond magazine’s Virginia Super Lawyers list in the category of Class Action/Mass Torts. He also has been selected by his peers to be included in The Best Lawyers in America for multiple years. Mr. Huff has litigated cases actively for over 34 years and has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He has published several legal articles and last year published a devotional guide. Mr. Huff is also a Bible study leader and teaches a large adult Sunday School class at Baylake United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach.

Marcus D. Jones, City Manager, Norfolk

February’s speaker is Marcus D. Jones. Mr. Jones was recently hired as the City Manager of Norfolk, Virginia. He has spent his entire professional career in the public service arena—both at the state and local government levels. During his tenure in state government, Mr. Jones served in both the legislative branch and executive branch of government. These positions included: Senior Legislative Analyst for the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission, Assistant and Deputy Secretary of Finance for Governor Jim Gilmore, and Deputy Secretary of Finance for Governor Mark Warner.

At the local government level Mr. Jones has held the following positions: Norfolk City Budget Director, Norfolk City Assistant City Manager, and Richmond City Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Finance and Administration. Mr. Jones received his Bachelor's degree in public administration from James Madison University and his Master's degree in public administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Jones remains active in his community by serving on various boards. His wife (Jillian) and three children (Lauren, Noah, and Joshua) are excited about the opportunity to come home to Norfolk.
